Keeping with the legacy and tradition of The Forum, local spoken word artist Khari B and musician Maggie Brown performed in front of The Forum to help celebrate the SEE POTENTIAL installation. Both artists are featured, larger than life, on the front facade of The Forum along with famed musician, Nat King Cole. Many community members came out to show their support- both virtually, by texting ‘PERFORM’ to the call out number and physically, by writing their thoughts and wishes for 43rd Street on The Forum’s ‘Chalk Talk’. ‘Chalk Talk is large scale chalk board on the exterior of The Forum where members of the Bronzeville community are encouraged to express how they would like to see 43rd Street improved. In addition, a timeline cataloging The Forum’s rich history from its conception to the future is displayed.

'You ask me why it is important to bring The Forum back to Bronzeville? And the answer to that is the importance of Bronzeville. I think it is really important for the young people to realize their rich heritage that is their legacy in Bronzeville.' -Lorenzo
